Practical Training

Practical training is an essential part of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering studies, which is designed to provide students with the opportunity to put theory into practice. The aim of practical training is to help students in developing skills and abilities to become independent, critical in their thinking, possess intellectual skills, and be effective and efficient in their performance.

The practical training is important not only because it exposes students to the latest technology implemented in the aviation industry, but also by helping the students learn from experience and relate their classroom learning to workplace activities.

Objectives of the Practical Training
  • To develop among the students the necessary skill required to apply theoretical knowledge of their aircraft maintenance studies to expose the students to work cultures and practices, as well as to real-life job experiences.
  • Developing disciplined attitude required for a professional.
  • Creating awareness on ethical values in professional work.

Education is no longer confined to the boundaries of a classroom. Under CAR 147(Basic) introduced by DGCA, practical training in an actual working environment is compulsory. To this end, Sha-Shib has associated itself with A I Engineering Services Ltd. MRO, Go Airlines, Air Works India Ltd. MRO, Indamer Aviation and many more organisations in order to give hands-on training to the students.
